Privacy Policy

      Summary: PDF Scanner & Tools processes your PDFs and photos on your device.
      We do not operate backend servers that receive, store, or analyze your documents.
      The marketing website may show Google AdSense ads. The iOS app may show Unity Ads interstitial ads after you use a tool (not on cold launch).
    

1. Who we are

2. Scope

This policy covers the PDF Scanner & Tools iOS app, the web app at https://pdfyte.web.app/app/, and the marketing website at https://pdfyte.web.app/.

3. Information we do not collect

We do not collect, transmit, or store your PDFs, photos, or scanned documents on our servers — because we operate no such servers for PDF Scanner & Tools document processing.
We do not sell personal data.
We do not require account registration for core PDF tools.

4. Information processed on your device

The following may be stored locally on your device:

Theme and language preferences
Temporary working files while you use a tool (cleared when you leave the flow or close the app, unless you export/share them)

Camera and photo-library features (Scan to PDF) process images on your device. When you share or save a PDF, you choose where it goes using your device’s share sheet.

5. Camera and photo library

With your permission, PDF Scanner & Tools may access:

Camera — to capture pages for Scan to PDF.
Photo library — when you choose existing images instead of the camera.

iOS shows system permission dialogs. You can revoke access anytime in Settings.

6. Advertising

iOS app: PDF Scanner & Tools may show Unity Ads interstitial ads after you open tools or save a PDF. Ads are not shown on cold app launch. On iOS 14+, we may show Apple’s App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt at launch so we can request permission to use the advertising identifier for more relevant ads. You can tap Ask App Not to Track; the app still works and Unity may show limited / non-personalized ads. Unity’s data practices are described in Unity’s Privacy Policy.

Website: The marketing site at pdfyte.web.app may display Google AdSense ads. AdSense may use cookies or similar technologies as described by Google.

Authorized sellers are listed in app-ads.txt (app) and ads.txt (website). Google AdSense publisher ID: pub-4218901322807645.

7. Children’s privacy

PDF Scanner & Tools is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

8. International users

Because document content is processed on your device and not sent to developer-operated servers, access requests for document content generally do not apply to data that never left your device. You may clear local app data by deleting the app. Website cookie preferences are controlled via your browser and Google’s ad settings.

9. Changes

We may update this policy as the app or website evolves. Material changes will be reflected in the effective date above.
